Get Involved

Fired up to make big polluters pay their fair share, and win a Climate Compensation Fund? There are a few ways to get involved in the campaign:

Join your local council campaign

Communities for Climate Compensation is a growing network of local teams across Australia organising in their communities to make coal, oil and gas corporations pay their fair share for the damage their pollution causes. Join a campaign in your community, or start a group yourself, to get your local council to support a Climate Compensation Fund.

This is how we'll build power in our communities to Make Big Polluters Pay- through conversations and surveying our communities.

Register your interest for the Climate Witness Program

Do you live in a region that experiences bushfires, floods, storms or any type of climate impact? Would you like to gain skills in speaking to the media, especially how to talk about climate disasters in a way that makes a difference?

At Bushfire Survivors for Climate Action we are in the process of working with our partners to develop the Climate Witness Program as online zoom training to give you the basics of how to speak up when your community is impacted by climate-driven disasters. We want to help you get ready before a disaster hits your community. It will cover basic media training, messaging, social media skills, and workshop a plan to reach further into your community. And we will provide a toolkit and a support network to reach out to if and when your community is impacted.
